Material selection is an important consideration when a deep well pump is expected to operate submerged for extended periods.
For a recent project in Equatorial Guinea, the customer selected a stainless steel deep well pump instead of a conventional cast iron configuration.
The supplied model was:
250QJH100-50-25kW
Its rated operating point is 100 m³/h at 50 m head.
Why Stainless Steel?
For submerged pumping equipment, stainless steel provides several practical advantages:
- Improved corrosion resistance
- Clean and durable construction
- Suitable for long-term submerged operation
- Reduced risk of surface rust compared with ordinary carbon steel
- Suitable for many groundwater and water supply applications
The 25 kW submersible motor is installed together with the hydraulic pump inside the borehole.
This arrangement allows the pump to push water upward from below the water level, making it particularly suitable for deep wells where surface suction pumps would be impractical.
Before export, the pump configuration was prepared according to the confirmed hydraulic requirements.
The completed unit was then arranged for delivery to Equatorial Guinea.
For customers looking for a stainless steel deep well pump for African water projects, the QJH series can be selected according to flow, head, well diameter and installation depth.
